Last Hope is a Power in Galactic Glitch that saves the player from death once per run, firing a massive blast and restoring health.

Effect[edit]

When you would take fatal damage, Last Hope activates automatically:

  1. Fires a huge blast that damages all nearby enemies
  2. Restores a portion of your health
  3. The power is consumed (one-time use per run)

Upgrade Levels[edit]

Level Effect
Level 1 Fires a huge blast and heals you when you're about to die. One time use.
Level 2 Fires a larger blast and heals more when you're about to die. One time use.
Level 3 Fires a massive blast and heals significantly when you're about to die. One time use.

Strategy[edit]

Last Hope is insurance for risky builds:

  • Enables Glass Cannon builds - Take Glass Cannon knowing you have a safety net
  • Boss insurance - Survive one fatal mistake during boss fights
  • Aggressive play - Push harder knowing you have a second chance
  • High NG+ runs - Essential for harder difficulty levels where one mistake can end a run

Synergies[edit]

Last Hope enables high-risk, high-reward builds:

  • Glass Cannon - Double damage taken is less scary with a death save
  • Radiant Fury - Being low health triggers damage bonus; Last Hope catches you if you go too low
  • Fickle Frenzy - Damage boost until hit; Last Hope saves the risky playstyle

Prototype Synergies[edit]

  • Shadow - Low health prototype benefits from death insurance
  • Glitch - Versatile ship can use Last Hope as backup for any build

Notes[edit]

  • Only triggers once per run - cannot be refreshed
  • The blast can kill enemies, potentially turning a near-death into a room clear
  • Health restored increases with upgrade level
  • One of the most valuable "insurance" powers in the game

Tips[edit]

  • Don't rely on it - Play as if you don't have it; treat it as emergency backup
  • Upgrade priority - Level 2 and 3 provide significantly more healing
  • Pair with healing - Pitch and Patch or health pickups help you survive after activation
