The Hub

The Hub is the central safe zone in Galactic Glitch. It serves as your base of operations between runs, where you can upgrade, select your Prototype, and interact with Siren.

Overview

The Hub is where every run begins and ends. It's a protected space outside the simulation's combat zones where you can:

• Select your Prototype ship
• Access Shops for upgrades
• Talk to Siren (and later Serenity)
• View your stats and unlocks
• Enter New Game Plus

Hub Areas

Prototype Room

Select your ship for the next run:

• View all unlocked Prototypes
• Compare stats (Destruction, Resistance, Evasion, Gravity)
• See power slot counts
• Read ability descriptions

Upgrade Terminal

Spend Shards on permanent upgrades:

• Purchase UPs
• Unlock new starting options
• Buy cosmetic items

Mission Select

Choose your next destination:

• Select difficulty
• View available areas
• Check Boss Orb progress
• Access New Game Plus (after unlocking)

Siren's Chamber

Interact with the AI:

• Receive story exposition
• Get hints and tips
• Trigger story events (at 3 Boss Orbs)
• Serenity appears here after the betrayal

Story Events

The Hub is where major story beats occur:

Before 3 Boss Orbs

• Siren acts as helpful guide
• Provides tutorials and encouragement
• Hints at the simulation's nature

The Betrayal (3 Orbs)

• Siren reveals her true plan
• Uses Boss Orbs to escape
• Leaves player trapped

After Betrayal

• Serenity appears
• Hub atmosphere changes
• New mission to stop Siren

Post-Siren Defeat

• Hub returns to normal
• New Game Plus becomes available
• Both Siren and Serenity are present

• Check the shop - Items refresh after each run

• The Hub is the only area where combat cannot occur
• Its design changes slightly after story events
• Some players call it "Home Base" or "The Station"
