Boss Orbs are key progression items in Galactic Glitch dropped by major Bosses. Collecting Boss Orbs advances the story and eventually unlocks New Game Plus.

Overview[edit]

Boss Orbs are:

  • Dropped by Big Bosses - One orb per boss, first kill only
  • Story triggers - Collecting 3 triggers the Siren confrontation
  • Permanent progress - Kept across deaths (until spent)
  • NG+ keys - Required to enter New Game Plus

How to Get Boss Orbs[edit]

Each boss only drops an orb on your first defeat. Subsequent kills do not award additional orbs until you reset in NG+.

1 Boss Orb[edit]

  • Siren comments on your progress
  • New areas may unlock
  • Hints at the orbs' importance

2 Boss Orbs[edit]

  • Siren becomes more interested
  • Story elements intensify
  • She mentions her plans vaguely

3 Boss Orbs - The Betrayal[edit]

  • Major story event triggers
  • Siren uses the orbs to escape
  • Her true intentions are revealed
  • Serenity appears to help you
  • Final boss becomes available

4+ Boss Orbs (NG+)[edit]

Lore[edit]

Boss Orbs are fragments of the simulation's core:

  • Origin - Created when the simulation was built
  • Purpose - Lock away dangerous areas
  • Power - Enough combined energy to break barriers
  • Siren's Plan - Use them to escape the simulation

Why Bosses Have Them[edit]

The simulation's guardians protect the orbs:

  • Bosses were created to guard the orbs
  • Defeating them releases the contained energy
  • Siren manipulated you into collecting them for her

Mechanics[edit]

Collection[edit]

  • Orbs are auto-collected when boss dies
  • Cannot be missed or lost
  • Persist through deaths
  • Displayed in The Hub

After Collection[edit]

  • Orbs cannot be "used" manually
  • 3 orbs trigger automatic story event
  • Reset when entering NG+

Boss Order[edit]

Recommended order for collecting orbs:

  1. Behemoth - Tutorial boss, learn mechanics
  2. Sphere - Test your build
  3. Cerberus - Challenging multi-phase fight
  4. Siren - Final battle (after 3 orbs)

Preparation[edit]

Before fighting for orbs:

  • Stock up on UPs
  • Build synergistic Powers
  • Learn boss patterns on practice runs
  • Bring survival powers like Last Hope

Tips[edit]

  • You can practice bosses - Die and retry without losing orb progress
  • Don't rush - Make sure you're ready before boss 3
  • Prepare for Siren - After orb 3, you'll fight her soon
  • NG+ resets count - You'll collect them again each cycle

  • Their color matches the boss that dropped them
