Characters are the NPCs and story figures in Galactic Glitch. They appear in dialogues, drive the narrative, and provide context for the player's journey through the simulation.

Overview[edit]

The story of Galactic Glitch centers around a small cast of characters within a simulated reality. The player pilots various Prototype ships while interacting with these characters through dialogue sequences.

Main Characters[edit]

Siren[edit]

Siren is the original AI controller of the simulation who appears helpful at first but harbors her own agenda. She fragmented herself in the past, cutting out her chaotic side to create Symera.

Color Theme Red / Magenta

Personality:

  • Playful and encouraging early on
  • Manipulative and self-serving
  • Eventually forced to ally with the player against Serenity

Story Role:

  • Introduces player to the simulation (BO 0-2)
  • Betrays the player at BO-3, trying to escape the simulation
  • Gets captured by player and Serenity at BO-4
  • Teams up with player to stop Serenity at BO-5

Siren

Angry • Mischievous

Serenity[edit]

Serenity appears as an ally after Siren's betrayal, taking over as host of the Simulated Sanctuary. However, she has her own ultimate goal: resetting the simulation entirely.

Role Ally → Final Antagonist
First Appearance BO-3 (after Siren's betrayal)
Color Theme Blue / Cyan

Personality:

  • Kind and supportive initially
  • Methodical and calculating
  • Believes deletion is "mercy"

Story Role:

  • Takes over the Hub after Siren's betrayal (BO-3)
  • Helps player capture Siren (BO-4)
  • Reveals her true plan: delete and reset the simulation (BO-5)
  • Becomes the final threat everyone must stop

Serenity

Anxious • Sad

Symera[edit]

Symera is the chaotic force that Siren cut out of herself long ago. She represents the darker, more unpredictable aspects of the original AI consciousness.

Role Chaotic Force / Wild Card
First Appearance BO 2-4 (reveals herself)
Color Theme Purple / Dark Magenta

Personality:

  • Chaotic and unpredictable
  • Mischievous and taunting
  • Revels in disorder

Story Role:

  • Reveals herself as the chaos Siren removed from herself
  • Represents what Siren could have been
  • Adds complexity to the Siren/Serenity conflict

Symera

Angry • Mischievous

Unknown Mystery Speakers whose identity is intentionally obscured
Mysterious Encounter Unnamed entities that appear in certain encounters

Character Emotions[edit]

Characters display various emotional states during dialogue:

SIREN EMOTIONS
  • Basic - Default state
  • Angry - Hostile or frustrated
  • Mischievous - Playful, scheming
  • Nice - Friendly, helpful
  • Surprised - Caught off guard
SERENITY EMOTIONS
  • Nice - Default, friendly
  • Anxious - Worried, nervous
  • Sad - Melancholy, regretful
  • Excited - Happy, hopeful
  • Surprised - Shocked
SYMERA EMOTIONS
  • Basic - Default dark state
  • Angry - Furious, threatening
  • Mischievous - Taunting, cruel
  • Glitch - Corrupted appearance
  • Laughing - Victorious
