Infinity's Edge Upgrades (IE upgrades) are permanent upgrades for Infinity's Edge runs. You buy them with Quantum Orbs on the upgrade tree in the IE Upgrade Room of The Hub. The room opens after you defeat Serenity; you reach it through the Mysterious Portal.

Costs[edit]

Each level costs the base cost times the level number. The popup shows the name with a Roman numeral (for example "Treasure Hunter II").

Upgrade In-game text Level I Level II Level III Total
Treasure Hunter +15% Hidden Room spawn chance per level 250 500 750 1,500
Corrupt Affinity +15% Corrupt Room spawn chance per level 300 600 not in the tree 900
Shadow Market +20% Corrupt Shop spawn chance per level 400 800 not in the tree 1,200
Quantum Tunneling +15% Teleport Room spawn chance per level 350 700 1,050 2,100
Void Walker +15% Corrupt Teleport spawn chance per level 450 900 1,350 2,700
Trial Seeker +25% Challenge Room spawn chance per level 600 1,200 1,800 3,600
Challenge Seeker +1 max Challenge Room per level 750 1,500 2,250 4,500
Reset IE Upgrades Resets all IE upgrades and refunds Quantum Orbs Free 0

All costs are in Quantum Orbs. Corrupt Affinity and Shadow Market can only reach level II in the upgrade tree. The game's upgrade list has a level III for both, but the tree has no node for it.

What they change[edit]

  • The five spawn chance upgrades add their bonus to the base chance of that room type in each IE level. The base chance is 25% at depth 1 and rises by 10% per depth. See Level layout.
  • Trial Seeker adds to the chance for one more Challenge Room on top of the guaranteed ones.
  • Challenge Seeker raises the cap of Challenge Rooms per level. The base cap is 3.
  • Reset IE Upgrades gives back every Quantum Orb you spent on the tree. If you have nothing to reset, the game shows "No upgrades to reset".
